Odorant Transfer/Injection Trailers
Description
The MRR Odorant Transfer/Injection Trailer is a custom-engineered, trailer-mounted platform for sites where fixed equipment isn't practical. Depending on the job, a trailer can be set up to move odorant to and from site tanks and skid-mounted odorizers, or equipped with its own odorizer and injection equipment for pipeline conditioning (pickling) ahead of commissioning, or for temporary odorization while a permanent installation is built, upgraded, or taken offline for service. Every unit is engineered around the application's requirements, mobility, unusual flow or pressure conditions, or a site footprint standard equipment can't accommodate, rather than modified from a stock configuration.
Each trailer is built on a chassis rated for its equipment load, hitched to any vehicle rated for the trailer's gross weight, with odorant cylinders that are DOT-compliant and secured for over-the-road transport. Depending on configuration, a trailer moves odorant safely to and from the site, into site tanks and skid-mounted odorizers, or integrates its own odorizer and odorant tank within secondary containment to deliver flow-proportional injection for pipeline conditioning, or to run as a complete stand-in odorization system during a permanent installation's build, upgrade, or maintenance downtime. Trailers are built to meet DOT regulations and to operate in classified electrical areas, so the unit meets the same site requirements as fixed equipment at the same station. Options include remote communication via wireless modem, solar- or AC-powered operation, odor control products, and odorant filtration and transfer equipment, so a trailer arrives set up for its specific job rather than needing field modification.
